A Girly Saturday.

A bit of pampering was on the cards yesterday. I headed into town with the girls to check out the nail place I’ve been hearing about. Ten Ten is just off the BTS at Phrom Phong, and is a lovely spa. There’s a hairdresser downstairs with the nail spa up on the top floor, doing everything from O.P.I manicures to CND Shellac (my favourite!).

I opted for shellac nails and toes in one of my go to colours, Rubble. The choice of colours was vast but I was a tad disappointed they didn’t have my new total favourite, worn for wedding shade, Tinted Love (a gorgeous rich, not too dark red). I might have to buy my own bottle!! Shellac for fingers and toes was 2400THB (just under £50).

Seated in gigantic chairs with water baths at our feet and sipping on the most delicious ginger tea, we each had a lady work on our toes and another on our fingers. They trimmed, shaped and moisturised everything. My feet were filed and wrapped in cling film and hot towels before being plunged into an aromatic bath, it was so relaxing!

I was really, really pleased with my nails, they are gorgeous and the ladies took so much care with them. It was so great to find somewhere good to go as I was slightly apprehensive given how much I love my nail place back at home (Becca and Jacky at Serene in Lutterworth do the best Shellac ever!).

Next stop was a massage, we went to a place a few doors down from Ten Ten that Kathy has been to before. We opted for a 60 minute full body oil massage, 500THB (just over £10). This was my first massage in Thailand and it was wonderful, I opted for ‘soft’ pressure (…if that’s soft I can’t imagine what ‘hard’ would feel like!!!), and she worked all my sore muscles like a dream! I was so relaxed afterwards and my skin felt divine from the oil. I was too scared to opt for a full Thai massage this time so maybe I’ll build up to that!

It was a really lovely day, spending time with the girls and being truly pampered! I then spent an hour sunbathing by the pool, what a great Saturday! Now all I’m thinking about is maybe I need to get a job soon to maintain this…

Thanks so much to Kathy for the recommendations and for taking me! X
