October 2015

Well, I think I can safely say this month has been the craziest, busiest month ever. I can’t believe its nearly November already!

To recap on why this month has been a bit mad, in case you missed it…the first fortnight of the month I was back in the UK, catching up with friends, eating a lot, shopping and attending my cousin’s wedding. I bought quite a few things back with me including some bits from the beautiful new H&M Makeup range and my first purchases from Charlotte Tilbury which I have just been dying to try out. If you missed my last post which touched on my goings on, you can read it here.

Then the last fortnight we had friends with us here in Thailand; we ‘Cooked with Poo’, cycled through Chinatown and explored Chonburi with Co Van Kessel, hit the famous Chatuchak Market, chilled out on the beach in Koh Yao Yai and got spoilt at the fabulous Indigo Pearl resort in Phuket, plus a whole lot of eating and drinking thrown in too!

Needless to say, I have a few things to update you on, travel and beauty wise which I will be posting over the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled! In the meantime, if you’re interested in seeing a bit of what we’ve been up to, my friend Tom aka. Dim on a Whim who was here in Bangkok with us has posted some YouTube videos of our adventures over on his channel, find them here.

Hope you have had a lovely October too!

Cooking with Poo really took off it seems. I remember when I first went to see her cooking school. It had already a pretty decent standing but she hadn’t yet published her book. Based on their ‘market walk’ (and the astonishment of expats at the low prices compared to supermarkets) they actually launched a fresh foods delivery service – completely run by local inhabitants of the Klong Toey slums.

    1. Thanks for stopping by! The work she does in and around her community is amazing. Poo was also telling us she has had to move premises 3 times since she began the cooking school to accommodate the demand! X

    1. Thanks Amy, I actually think I’m appreciating the lovely temperature here now that I’ve had a taste of chilly weather back home again!! X
