As I was winding up my life to leave the UK the Charlotte Tilbury makeup launch was the hot topic of conversation amongst bloggers and makeup fans alike. I left for Bangkok before I managed to try any bits so on my October trip home, hitting the new CT stand in Selfridges, Manchester was high on my list.
I have read great reviews of so many of her products so was completely spoiled for choice, the only limit being my budget! After spending a good half an hour perusing and debating the pros and cons of various products with my makeup partner in crime, Lesley, I decided to go with two things I knew I would use regularly in my somewhat paired back Bangkok makeup regime.
Obviously, I had to have a lipstick; I tend to gravitate towards nudes and neutrals and within Charlotte’s range there are some seriously gorgeous options but after seeing ‘Lost Cherry‘ (£23) I decided to step out of my comfort zone. It’s a gorgeous coral pink shade from the Matte Revolution range that I knew would look great with my now all year round sun-kissed skin. The pigmentation is great and it lasts well on the lips without the drying effect I have experienced from some other matte lipsticks.
Lost Cherry is a pop of pastel fuchsia for a fresh and effortlessly gorgeous look.
My second choice was the Beach Stick in the colour Moon Beach (£30), which again, I knew I would get a lot of use out of. It’s a solid twist up stick of gorgeous shimmer for use on the cheeks or lips, blended into the skin it gives an effortless summer glow. It’s lovely after a day on the beach when you just want to put on some mascara and a slick of lip balm, and now a bit of this too.
Cheat your way to a look of endless summer, all year round with Beach Sticks.Moon Beach is a luminous, rose-gold, 70’s inspired iridescent peach, inspired by the mesmerising light of Moon Beach.
So those were the two products I chose from the gorgeous Charlotte Tilbury range, and I am in love with them both. They are lovely products and I love the packaging too which feels really premium and glam! I have read a few complaints about the packaging but I don’t personally have any issues with these specific products. If you haven’t checked out her range, do!
And if you have any recommendations for CT products I should pick up next time I’m back in the UK please let me know below!
