Oh, Charlotte ~ the latest

After buying two items from Charlotte Tilbury back in October and completely falling in love, grabbing a few more bits when I was back in the UK over Christmas was high on my agenda. This time, rather than standing totally overwhelmed at the (seriously beautiful) counter, I knew what I wanted to add to my collection. To read my first Charlotte Tilbury review, click here.

First on my list was the Wonder Glow. On my first visit to the counter in Selfridges, Manchester back in October the lovely assistant filled my bag with little samples and testers, I tried this one and just had to have the full size. Charlotte claims this product will ‘turn around tired, dull skin in a beauty flash‘. And boy oh boy, it does. It gives serious glow without looking oily or greasy and makes my skin look so perfect, luminous and youthful it is slightly ridiculous (good ridiculous though obviously). Excuse the drunken faces below but you can see my point…

Anyway, at £38.50, this is not a cheap product but honestly, you need the tiniest amount to achieve the ‘spot light’ effect promised. It’s not an everyday product for me although you can wear it by itself, under or over foundation. I’ve found it to be a beautiful base under foundation or BB cream and helps my makeup last significantly longer – again see above picture, about 8 hours into a wedding… I adore this product and would recommend it to anyone that can get their hands on it.

Next on the list was the Full Fat Lashes Mascara (£22). I have read and heard so many mixed reviews of this mascara but when Tati, Glam Life Guru, said it was one of the best she had tried I knew I needed it in my life. This product promises to curl, separate, volumes, lengthen and add drama. For me it does all of these and gives me that full look I like, it doesn’t flake and wears really well. I really, really love this mascara and am dreading the day I run out as I can’t get it here in Thailand. I do want to say though, my friend Lesley also bought this mascara and it doesn’t rock her world the same was it does mine – if you like a big fat brush and big fat lashes you’ll like this, if not, give it’s probably not for you.

Lastly, I picked up the Lip Cheat liner (£16). I went for the colour ‘Pillow Talk’ which was a really neutral pinky my-lips-but-better colour. This liner claims to  enable you to ‘cheat and balance your lip shape and size by drawing along the outer edge of your natural lip line.‘ It’s a nice lip liner, it glides on nicely without tugging and lasts pretty well. I have taken to using it as instructed to ‘cheat’ my lips but to be honest, this is something I will probably now do with all my liners. I like it but it didn’t overly wow me and I probably won’t be buying anymore.

I now have five CT products and regularly use them all. My absolute favourites are the mascara and the Wonder Glow, closely followed by the Beach Stick which has become a staple for my everyday face. No doubt on my next trip back to England I will have another little list of Charlotte Tilbury products to try. I’m desperate to try the Magic Cream but at £70 a pot I need to start saving now! OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
