Another bandwagon that’s taken me way too long to jump onto…MAC Velvet Teddy. This lipstick has been made famous by the plumped pout of Miss Kylie Jenner and is a beautiful matte nude brown colour. It has been selling out for months and, to be honest, I wasn’t sure if the shade would suit my colouring but when I was last at the MAC counter, I happened to ask if they had it in stock and when low and behold they did, my instinct was to purchase.
And to be honest, I’m glad I did. It’s a lovely colour that does look nice on me despite being browner than I would usually go for. I’ve been wearing it with my Charlotte Tilbury lip pencil but I am contemplating purchasing the Whirl lip pencil that is said to complete the look. I use my philosophy Kiss Me Tonight lip therapy underneath to add some moisture as this is a matte lipstick which can be quite drying.
I also purchased the MAC Pearl Blossom Beauty Powder from the Flamingo Park collection. This caught my eye a few weeks ago and I was dying to try it. It’s a beautiful, finely milled highlighter with a pinkish hue. The sales assistant suggested layering it over a light dusting of blush which I’ve tried, I’ve also tried it by itself which gives a natural, glow finish for daytime. My favourite look though has been a sweep of this powder over a light blending of cream blush. It is seriously gorgeous.
