No visit back to the UK is complete for me now without a quick stop at the Charlotte Tilbury counter. We had so little time at home it wasn’t looking like it was going to happen but the night before we flew back to Bangkok I managed to find 20 minutes to pop into Selfridges (queue huge sigh of relief). I have bought Charlotte’s products on two previous occasions and loved everything I’ve bought. I had a few things in mind to look at but ended up plumping for a lipstick from the new Hot Lips range and a black kohl pencil.
I was looking for a new lipstick and was curious to check out the Hot Lips range which features new shades inspired by a range of inspirational women celebrities, plus £1 from each goes to Women for Women International. I chose Super Cindy as it will sit nicely with the CT Lip Cheat Liner I already have, read more about that here. It is a lovely nude brown-taupe (it looks warmer/pinker in my pictures despite shooting in natural light), think the shades creator Cindy Crawford obviously. It is a Matte Revolution formulation which lasts really well on the lips and is pretty moisturising compared to a Mac Matte lipstick for example. As a complete lipstick obsessive, I loved the imprint detail on the bullet. Plus the packaging on these just feels great, so heavy and premium.

I had my hair cut off whilst I was back in the UK. It went from very long to just below the shoulders. Somehow my usual makeup didn’t do much for my new do so I began experimenting a bit more with heavier liner, not a look I usually rock. As a result, I was drawn to the Rock ‘N’ Kohl Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil in Bedroom Black.
Personally, I don’t wear it in my waterline so can’t comment on that but I can tell you this pencil has serious, serious staying power and is sooooo pigmented. It is a cross between a liquid eyeliner and a kohl. I have been applying a line and then blending with a brush to soften and then adding a little more, it sets really quickly so you have to work fast! I take my makeup off with an oil cleanser which has no problem with it but when I used makeup remover on a pad to remove the swatch from my arm it took a bit more effort! If you like your kohl’s, this is a must-have for your collection.

So yet again Charlotte Tilbury has done it again, I love both the products I picked up. The only downside for me is that we’re not planning a trip back to the UK for another year so imagine how big my list will be by then…
