I have gazed longingly at the Soleil Tan De Chanel so many times but never taken the plunge, my main concern was that it would be too warm or orange for my skin tone. But after watching the very talented Olivia Jane MUA do my best friends makeup for her wedding day in the summer I knew I had to have it. She assured me ‘it suits everyone’ and man was she right.
I picked this up as soon as I was back in Bangkok and have used it everyday since with the Zoeva 103 Defined Buffer brush (£12.99) I bought to apply it. It’s a firm, creamy consistency and a little goes a long way. There are quite a few ways to use this product apparently as it’s technically a ‘bronzing makeup base’ but I’ve been using it purely as a bronzer. I buff it on the parts of my face that would naturally catch the sun and make sure to go up into the hairline for a really natural, sun kissed glow. It is buildable so you could create a more impactful bronzed finish if that’s your style. You could use it all over your face under your base to give you a more all over tan look too.
The classic monochrome Chanel packaging is beautiful, and it really is a lovely addition to anyones makeup collection. Granted, it is a higher end product with a price tag to match (£36) but given how little you need I’d say it’s well worth the investment, not to mention the fact it looks beautiful on your dresser!
